Lydia Daugherty spent her summers in the woods of Minnesota and northern New Mexico not realizing the huge wealth of plants around her. However, this lead to pursuing a degree in Fisheries & Wildlife Management from the University of Minnesota and working as a Naturalist at Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden for a number of seasons. Motherhood lead to a job as a childbirth educator, but through all of that she’s been a member of the NCHG—including a position on the board before the birth of her third child. Gardening and enjoying the out of doors continues to be a love, and Lydia looks forward to sharing her knowledge with the Guild members.
