Whether as food, in vinegar, cocktails, mocktails or medicine, bitters are a part of the whole “Local” movement — and seasonal, too. This Bitter Revival combines herbal traditions with modern curiosity & creativity. Join us for an informational evening & a hands–on experience.

Each person participating in the hands–on part of this workshop is asked to bring a local apple and a small jar partially filled with alcohol (vodka, bourbon or ____? high proof or not) In addition, we will need small donations of a few spices to share, such as cinnamon sticks, allspice berries, coriander seeds, &/or whole cloves. If desired, bring a few favorites for yourself: c/s dried dandelion root, burdock root, gentian?

Carol will bring other ingredients & we’ll create a sample to take home…
